It was a moment of giving back and appreciation ,as Abia State University Law Alumni Port-harcourt branch (1997 set) donate books to the faculty of law.
Speaking during the visit, the leader of the delegation, Barr.Chris Okafor said that they were motivated by Dr. Amadike Ugbogu to do a positive pay back to their alma-mater, as well as the Vice-Chancellor's determination to change the face of the university positively.
He expressed satisfaction towards Professor Ikonne led administration especially in the area of Research and learning and promised the associations unalloyed support.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor Professor E. Uche Ikonne thanked the alumni for the gesture, pointing out that his administration will continue to partner with the alumni in realizing the vision of the university.
He also stated that the faculty has remained the flag sheep of the university evidently expressed by their performance in the national exams, adding that excellence and service remains his watch word.
Speaking earlier, the Dean faculty of law Professor Erugo while introducing the alumni to the Vice-Chancellor, expressed gratitude towards the gesture.
High point of the visit was the presentation of books which include Law reports for nine year with index and international law journals to the Vice-Chancellor by the alumni.
To God be the Glory!
