In a touching display of empathy and generosity, Sir Anucha Wisdom, a revered lecturer from the Faculty of Education at Abia State University Uturu (ABSU), has once again come to the aid of Master Prosper Chibuikem, a visually impaired 300-level Sociology student. For the second consecutive year, Sir Anucha, leveraging his network of friends and contacts, has ensured that Master Prosper's school fees are fully paid.
The heartwarming event took place during a formal session in Sir Anucha's office, attended by distinguished guests including the President of the Student Union Government, Comr. Okezie Almond Kezirim; the Union's Acting Secretary-General, Comr. Onyemauwa Chiamaka; the Public Relations Officer, Comr. Ohanusi Victor; ABSU Press Club President, Nnubia Blessing; Master Prosper, and other well-wishers. Amidst the gathering, Sir Anucha handed over the payment receipt to Master Prosper, urging him to honor the trust and support extended by the sponsors who contributed to his education fund.
Beyond covering tuition fees, Sir Anucha also gifted Master Prosper a personal cash donation of N30,000, acknowledging that students face various financial challenges beyond just school fees. "Apart from school fees, students have other needs and challenges that require financial assistance," he remarked, underscoring his comprehensive approach to supporting Prosper.
Master Prosper, overwhelmed with gratitude, expressed his deep appreciation for Sir Anucha's continuous support, recognizing its profound impact on his educational journey at ABSU. He vowed to seize this opportunity and excel in his studies.
In his closing remarks, SUG President Comr. Almond encouraged Prosper to justify the faith placed in him by the sponsors and to remain focused on achieving academic success at ABSU.
This inspiring act of kindness by Sir Anucha Wisdom serves as a beacon of hope and a testament to the power of community support in transforming lives.
